Upside Down began with this conviction: God’s word – by the work of the Holy Spirit and in the context of Christian Community – changes kids from the inside out and turns their worlds upside down (Acts 17).
This high energy, relational ministry serves as the core of the Nurture/Reaching component of Redeemer Kids, and seeks to stand as a compliment to traditional Christian education in the church and home. Trained and screened mentors lead kids through memory making activities (Bible/Catechism memory, eating, playing, and singing) in order to disciple children towards repentance and faith in Jesus, build relationships, and pursue spiritual, social, and emotional growth.
A large group children who attend Upside Down (about 50% of the group) are visitors from our surrounding community (many of whom walk to Redeemer from the Broadmoor neighborhood each Wednesday night.) This is a phenomenal opportunity for our church to be a blessing to our community through evangelism and discipleship.
We are always looking for students and adults who are called to serve as shepherds at Upside Down. Contact Zack if you have any questions. Parents, check the Church Calendar and Information section for information about Upside Down on Wednesday evenings during the School Year.
